Hello! My name is Mrs. Christine, and I am a first grade teacher in the Blooming Botanicals. I am proud to say I have been a part of the Tapestry community since 2015. This community has brought me through student teaching, mentored me during my teaching partner position, and has made me into the teacher I am today.
I received my undergraduate degree from Canisius College, and completed my postgraduate studies in Literacy at Buffalo State College. I am certified to teach in four areas within New York State which include Early Childhood Education, Childhood Education, Middle School English and Literacy (k-12). I hope to continue my studies in a doctoral program in the future. My favorite grade to teach is first grade because the students grow so much in one year. It is amazing to watch them develop their skills as readers, writers and math thinkers!
I love working at Tapestry because I have a strong background in the arts which includes studio visual arts, ceramics, and playing the bass clarinet. Other than teaching, I like participating in after school clubs and in my spare time I enjoy reading, traveling, cooking and playing with my dog, Ellie!
