I have been a part of Tapestry since 2011, but have been teaching since 2002. During my teaching career I have taught all grades K-6. But, first grade is my favorite! The growth children make during this monumental year is incredible! I hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Education with a concentration in Child Psychology and a Master’s of Science in Childhood and Early Childhood Curriculum and Instruction, both earned at Buffalo State College. I am a huge supporter of the arts and our arts integration program here at Tapestry, being that I graduated from the Buffalo Academy for the Visual and Performing Arts, majoring in Visual Art, right here in Buffalo. I try to incorporate art and music into my classroom whenever possible. I am passionate about teaching children in the city of Buffalo, as I believe the great teachers I had in my Buffalo Public schooling are what made me who I am today. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband Bryan and my almost 10 year old daughter Miabella. I enjoy long summer weekends at our beach cottage in Canada, reading, cycling, kayaking, shopping, Broadway shows, baking, concerts, photography and eating spicy chicken fingers with an ice cold Diet Dr. Pepper!
