Yvonne DuBoisDirector of Community and Family Engagement

Yvonne Tamere DuBois is an experienced therapist, trainer, speaker and organizational development strategist deeply committed to putting joy, meaning, and equity into practice.

As a graduate of elementary school Hamlin Park #74, and Hutch-Tech High School, Yvonne understood the value that a solid Buffalo education can provide. After graduating in 2009 from University at Buffalo with a Masters degree in Social Work, Yvonne spent a decade providing direct care and outreach to various populations, became a school social worker, ran a transitional housing program for women and children, and provided therapy for postpartum women at the largest birthing center in the city of Buffalo.

Yvonne went back to school in 2016, earning her MBA in from Medaille, before becoming the Training Manager at Erie County Medical Center, in Buffalo, NY.

Yvonne is a board member for the Buffalo City Racers, a program focused on bringing swimming education equity to urban youth. She is also a leadership development coach and consultant, providing free leadership education courses to youth and young adults in the city.

In her free time, Yvonne is a novice traveler, an experienced cat petter, and an avid bug collector with her second grade son. Yvonne is a lifelong resident of Buffalo, NY with her three cats, two turtles, lone bearded dragon, corn snake, and her beloved son, EJ.
