I joined the Tapestry community in the fall of 2021 as a Literacy Interventionist. I have taught for 14 years in various districts in multiple roles, but I have a true passion for teaching children how to read. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Saginaw Valley State University and a Master’s Degree in Childhood Education from Buffalo State College. I worked on becoming an EBLI (Evidence Based Literacy Instruction) certified instructor during the summer of 2023. I was born and raised in Buffalo and love teaching here in the city! When I am not at school I enjoy reading, hiking, and spending time with my husband, our two boys, and our mini-goldendoodle, Sophie.
