Reopening Update
Dear Tapestry Families,
Yesterday, the USDA announced that they will be extending the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) until December 31st, 2020.
What does this mean for you?
- Beginning tomorrow, September 3, 2020, our Tapestry Food Service Team will be opening and expanding our Drive-Thru Food Service Program every day, Monday-Friday from 11am-1pm. Tapestry will provide free bagged breakfast and lunches to all Tapestry students, and all other school age children in their households and others residing in the City of Buffalo, free of charge, available for pickup at 111 Great Arrow Avenue.
- In addition, until December 31st, all breakfast and lunch meals served at school for our in-person and hybrid students, or picked up in our Drive-Thru program (Monday-Friday, 11a-1pm) will be free of charge, regardless of each students’ free/reduced lunch status.
- We are asking that families still please fill out the free and reduced lunch applications that were mailed to you in mid-August.
For those families participating in our in-person, hybrid learning program, Tapestry will be sending bagged breakfast and lunches home with your students for the following day that they will not be in school. For more information on our food service program this school year, please see Tapestry’s Food Service Reopening Plan, 2020-21, linked here.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
We are crew.
Thank you,
Eric Klapper
Executive Director
