Welcome to Tapestry Charter School’s FREE Multi-Sport Summer Camp!

This 3-week day camp is sponsored by the Project Play WNY Summer Free Play Series* It is designed for students entering grades 3–6, offering hands-on exposure to multiple sports in a fun, inclusive, and team-based environment. Led by experienced coaches and educators, each week features a new sport, high-energy games, and unforgettable memories.

What to Bring:

From sneakers to water bottles, here’s your quick guide to what your camper should have each day to stay safe, active, and ready to play. Make sure your camper is set up for an active day! Help your camper start each day prepared and ready to play! Below is a checklist of recommended gear for a smooth and active camp experience:

Comfortable athletic clothing suitable for movement and weather Light jacket or hoodie for cooler mornings
Sneakers for indoor gym use or turf shoes for outdoor activities
*please send both if you’re unsure of the day’s location
Hat or visor for sun protection
Reusable water bottle, labeled with your child’s name Small towel or sweat rag
Snack bag if your child has allergies or needs an alternative to the provided option Sunscreen (labeled) – staff can help reapply if needed

Daily Essentials:

A breakdown of the daily schedule, snacks, hydration reminders, and camper expectations—so you and your child know exactly what to expect.

8:30 AM Drop-off begins at the Lower School campus
8:30–9:00 AM Warm-up & welcome activities
9:00–10:15 AM Sport-specific drills and skill development
10:15–10:30 AM Snack & hydration break
10:30–11:30 AM Team games, scrimmages, and fun group challenges
11:30 AM Prompt pickup at designated dismissal location

Camp Culture:

  • We prioritize teamwork, respect, and inclusivity
  • Campers are grouped by grade level for age-appropriate play
  • Staff provide constant supervision and encourage participation at every skill level
  • All equipment is sanitized and activities are designed for safety and engagement
  • Any medication or health needs must be communicated during registration

Extended Hours Not available; no sessions on Fridays
Pickup Time Campers must be picked up promptly at 11:30 AM
Health Info All medical or health needs must be shared during registration
Check-In/Out Sign-in and sign-out sheets required daily. Only authorized individuals listed in the database may pick up campers
Grace Period Parents have a 10-minute grace period to pick up thier camper during dismissal.

Summer Camp FAQs

Q: Can I register more than one child?

A: Yes! Just submit a separate registration form for each child.

Q: What if I need to cancel?

A: Please email us ASAP so we can offer the spot to another student.

Q: Will there be extended day hours?

A: No, camp ends promptly at 11:30 AM.

Q: What if my child can only attend some of the weeks?

A: That’s okay! You can register for individual weeks based on your schedule. Just be sure to select the weeks you want on the registration form before the June 13 deadline.

Q: How are campers grouped?

A: Campers are grouped by grade level into small, age-appropriate teams:
Grades 3–4 (Junior League) and Grades 5–6 (Varsity League). Each group has dedicated staff and their own space to learn and play.

Q: Is this camp beginner-friendly?

A: Absolutely! No prior sports experience is needed. Campers of all skill levels are welcome — our goal is fun, teamwork, and skill-building in a supportive environment.

Q: Who will be leading the camp sessions?

A: Camp sessions are led by trained coaches, educators, and support staff from Tapestry Charter School and our community partners. Our team is experienced, energetic, and passionate about creating a fun and safe experience for every camper.

Explore a New Sport Each Week!

Every week of Tapestry’s Multi-Sport Summer Camp offers campers the opportunity to dive deep into a different sport. Our coaches create a supportive, skill-building environment where every camper can grow, compete, and have fun — no matter their experience level.

Week 1: Basketball Skills

Dates: July 7–10
Campers will dribble, shoot, and pass their way through exciting drills, challenges, and friendly scrimmages. The focus is on building fundamentals, boosting confidence, and having a blast on the court. Campers will also learn about sportsmanship, leadership, and teamwork through fun daily challenges.

Group Names:

  • The Dribble Squad (Grades 3–4)

  • The Hoop Hustlers (Grades 5–6)

Week 2: Soccer & Lacrosse Skills

Dates: July 14–17
A fast-paced and energetic week focused on two exciting field sports! Campers will explore the fundamentals of soccer and lacrosse, including dribbling, passing, shooting, and defensive strategies. Coaches will introduce key skills in a low-pressure, high-fun format that encourages agility, focus, and teamwork.

Group Names:

  • The Goal Getters (Grades 3–4)

  • The Field Force (Grades 5–6)

Week 3: Multi-Sport Sampling

Dates: July 21–24

  • Monday: Golf ⛳
  • Tuesday: Rugby 🏉
  • Wednesday: Volleyball 🏐
  • Thursday: Football 🏈

Try something new each day! Week 3 wraps up the season with a high-energy rotation of sports—Golf, Rugby, Volleyball, and Football. It’s perfect for campers eager to explore, have fun, and grow their all-around athletic skills. Campers remain grouped by grade level in a supportive, team-focused environment.

Group Names:

  • The Game Explorers (Grades 3–4)

  • The The All-Star Samplers (Grades 5–6)
