Mrs. Shehata has joined the Tapestry Community in late Fall of 2021 and has been preparing to teach 5th Grade ELA. Her background consists of about 5 years of substitute teaching including longer placements which encompassed the challenges of the pandemic. She graduated from the University at Buffalo with a Bachelors in English Literature and a Masters in English Education. Besides student teaching, Mrs. Shehata has had years of experience mentoring youth and coaching ENL students in literacy. When not teaching she enjoys baking, listening to audiobooks, and playing Pokemon Go. She lives with her two adorable dogs (Irwin and Teddy) and husband. She looks forward to children and a long teaching career.
