I have enjoyed working with young children for as long as I can remember, and I am grateful to be a part of the Tapestry family, and its supportive learning environment. I joined Tapestry in 2017 as a student teacher in a fifth grade classroom, and immediately felt at home. In May 2018, I graduated from Canisius College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Students with Disabilities and Childhood Education 1-6, and was excited to begin my role as a Teaching Partner in the Helpful Hero’s first grade classroom! I found that first graders’ enthusiasm for school and life in general can be exhausting, but infectious, and teaching them is an exciting experience as you watch them learn and grow.
I was thrilled to be working with an amazing Kindergarten team, while teaching our youngest learners in the Terrific Turtles classroom, who taught me everyday to appreciate the little things in life! I have my certification in Early Elementary Education (B-2), and earned my Master’s Degree in Literacy Education (B-6) from Canisius College. I am also trained as a Reading Recovery Teacher!
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, visiting my sister in Colorado, going to the gym, reading, shopping, drinking coffee, and playing with my dog, Jameson, the cutest little Labradoodle ever!
