Mrs. Kauffman joined the Tapestry community in 2008.  She has been teaching science and working as an instructional coach since then. She joined us from Syracuse NY where she taught for 6 years in the Syracuse City School District, including as a founding teacher at an EL Education School, ELMS.  She has a BA in Environmental and Forest Biology and worked as a field biologist and educator previous to her role in education.  She enjoys hiking, crafting and working in her flower gardens and with her husband on their urban farm, 5 Loaves Farm.  Both of her children attended Tapestry as well.
