Tapestry Charter School has been part of my life since 2002. I received both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in elementary education from Buffalo State College and have always lived and worked in Western New York. I have taught first grade, a transitional first grade, a multi-age kindergarten/grade one, and kindergarten. In 2020 I received the Teacher of the Year Award (for grades K-3) from Friends for a Better Buffalo.
My husband and I are parents of two children. I like to spend time outside with my family, enjoy going to church, and can often be found driving my daughter around or cheering on her crew team! I love teaching kindergarten because I love seeing children’s skills and confidence grow in literacy and foundational math! I am proud to say that I teach children to read.
