Karen CampDance Teacher, Gr. 6-12

Ms. Camp joined Tapestry in 2011. Ms. Camp received her Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Empire State College.   Her combined education and 20+ years of teaching experience allow her to enrich students through developing technique, group learning activities and experimentation in the classroom.   She is the Artistic Director of The Dance Camp, offering studies in tap, jazz, ballet and modern dance.

In addition to the training she received in Western New York, she has studied at the notable 92nd Street YMCA under renowned dance educator & author Tina Curran and dance educator Ann Biddle, founder of Stories in Motion – a program based on the nationally acclaimed Dance Education Laboratory (DEL) model of creative dance for children.

Ms. Camp also attends workshops and holds memberships with dance, and arts organizations.  She is proudly dedicated to her role as a board member for Young Audiences of Western New York.
