Dr. Karrie HayesDirector of Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment, K-12

    Dr. Karrie Hayes is the K-12 Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment. As Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment, Dr. Hayes is responsible for bringing knowledge and resources of best practices to Tapestry’s faculty in an effort to enhance their professional growth and to make a difference in the educational experience of students.

    Dr. Hayes began her career as a high school teacher at Tapestry Charter High School and then served as the school’s instructional coach before taking this role. She has taught at both the middle school, high school and college levels, as she has taught many graduate courses at Niagara University, Canisius College and the University at Buffalo.

    She holds NYS certifications in Mathematics Education grades 5 – 9 and 7 – 12, as well as Special Education grades 7 – 12. She also holds NYS certifications in School Building Leadership and School District Leadership. She has a Bachelors of Arts in Secondary Education, a Master of Science in Special Education, a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education. Dr. Hayes received her BA, both of her MS degrees and her MBA degree from Niagara University. She earned her PhD from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
