I learned how incredible the community here at Tapestry is when I started my field placement in the Friendly Frogs, Mrs. Becky and Mrs. Lisa’s third-grade classroom, as an undergraduate student from Buffalo State College.  Since then, I have earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Childhood Education.  I began my career at Tapestry as a substitute teacher in January of 2020, and am beyond grateful to have landed the role as a Teacher Partner in the Brilliant Birds first-grade classroom in March of 2020! 

Teaching first-graders is such an exciting and joyful experience because it is a huge year of growth, and you are able to lay the foundations for so many skills.  The students’ enthusiasm and excitement at school every day is infectious!  As a new teacher, it is a gratifying feeling to be a part of a community that provides such a supportive learning culture where there are constant opportunities for teachers and students to be empowered.  I love working at Tapestry, and am looking forward to what my future holds here!
