I am grateful to have been a part of the Tapestry community since 2017. The transition into my role in Student Services accompanied 1 year of working closely with the teachers at Tapestry through AmeriCorps. As an AmeriCorps Able member, I assisted the teachers with classroom instruction and lended a hand wherever I was needed. Through hard work and many adversities, I feel not only the students, but my coworkers, and myself have grown. This is evident by the connections that I and my fellow educators have made with our Tapestry families.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Buffalo State College. During my studies in this field, I discovered that the heart of a good community is the channels that give exceptional support. Which is why when I am not at Tapestry working as Student Services, I volunteer at West Side Community Services.
